The rivers in the Malappuram dist. particularly Chaliyar,
Barathappuzha are swollen.
Many part of the district including Nilambur, Areacode were submerged
in flood waters.
Places along the shores of the Chaliyar and Cherupuzha, such as
Areacode, Edavannapara, Keezhuparamb, Cheruvadi, Urungattiry, Kuniyil
were also flooded.
Vehicular traffic on Areekode-Mukkam, Areekode-Cheruvady,
Nilambur-Gudalur,roads was disrupted following flooding
